Maldives Officially Introduces Corporate Resident Visa

On Wednesday, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih ratified the second amendment to the Maldives Immigration Act. The new amendment introduces two additional types of visas foreigners who are traveling to the Maldives can apply for.Foreigners who have invested over USD 250,000 in the Maldives or those who have maintained a constant cash flow for a period of 5 years in a fixed deposit account in a Maldivian bank would be eligible to apply for the Corporate Resident Visa. Foreigners who are traveling to the Maldives for a short stay due to business reasons can apply for the Meeting Visa.
