Industrial Dispute Resolution Division Established
The Employment Tribunal has officially established the Industrial Dispute Resolution Division under the Industrial Relations Act.
This new division will have jurisdiction over industrial and union related cases.
The division will consist of 14 members, including two from the Employment Tribunal and 12 appointed by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade to represent both workers and employers.
Each appointed member will serve a three year term, and they will not be eligible for consecutive terms.
Cases submitted to this division will be processed according to regulations under the Act, and individuals involved in the cases will have the right to appeal the division's decisions.
