Maldives Opens Its Borders

After a months-long standstill, Maldives tourism industry has officially reopened today with extensive safety measures in place.The Ministry of Tourism (MoT), along with Maldives Marketing & PR Corporation (MMPRC) and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), have released a joint press statement commemorating this occasion and welcoming all tourists.This morning, the first commercial flight landed in Velana International Airport (VIA) bringing in 107 foreigners and 24 Maldivians.
