Discussions to Re-open Guesthouses Continues

Tourism Minister Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has stated that the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is working alongside Health Protection Agency (HPA) to reopen the guesthouses in local islands by the earliest and discussions held until now has proven successful.The Minister informed that the Maldives Government is working on providing solutions to difficulties currently faced by the local tourism industry in complying with the precautionary measures set by HPA. With regard to this, arrangements have been made to conduct PCR testing within local islands which would be essential once guesthouses are permitted to reopen in local islands.
