Covid-19: Dissolution of Unproductive State-Owned Enterprises

The Parliament has approved a report submitted by the State-Owned Enterprises Committee in regards to dissolution of state-owned companies which have suffered heavily due to Covid-19 pandemic.The report concerns the dissolution of state-owned enterprises that have not generated any return and have been stagnant throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.Additionally, the Committee also proposed to offer more opportunities to Maldivians in place of foreigners in executive posts in the state-owned companies and private companies.
