Hopes for Reopening Local Guesthouses

If the percentage of total number of positive cases of COVID-19 were to remain below 5% for the duration of two consecutive weeks, it would give new hopes for reopening guesthouses, hotels and other tourist facilities in the Greater Male' Region in early November, says the Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom on his Twitter.Due to the growing number of positive cases mainly within the Greater Male' Region, there have been a prolonged delay in the reopening of local tourist facilities from the initial estimated reopening date.However, the government has decided to granted permission to reopen local tourist facilities within other atolls on 15 October 2020.
