Strengthening Tourism Ties Between Maldives and Sri Lanka

Discussions with regard to strengthening the tourism ties between both countries took place in a meeting held between Mr. Omar Abdul Razzak, Maldives High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Mr. Prasanna Ranatunga, Minister of Tourism of Sri Lanka.In this meeting, the main topic of discussion involved the safety measures implemented for reopening the borders and strategies to recover from the economical downturn faced by the tourism sectors of both Sri Lanka and the Maldives.In addition to this meeting, Mr. Omar Abdul Razzak also met with Mr. Ajith Nivard Cabraal, State Minister of Money & Capital Market and State Enterprise Reforms, where the High Commissioner clarified the recovery efforts made by Sri Lanka.
