Maldives Introduces Covid-19 Tourism Insurance

Ministry of Tourism (MoT) jointly with Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives Private Limited, has initiated a Covid-19 insurance policy for tourists visiting the Maldives.Through this insurance policy, the aim of Allied Insurance Company is to provide insurance at affordable rates and relief for the challenges faced by the tourism industry. This will also facilitate further security within the work environment and generate more tourists arrivals into the Maldives. Comprised of two options, the insurance policy covers medical charges, isolation facility charges and charges relating to a positive diagnosis during their visit.Interested tourists may apply for the insurance policy before entering the Maldives, via the Allied Insurance Company website.
