The Facebook live event, “Maldives: The Sun Will Shine Again” conducted by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has successfully concluded.
The event took place on 8th June 2020 and was hosted by MMPRC in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Public Service Media (PSM), Orca Media Group and Mondhu Productions. The goal of the event was to convey hope and demonstrate to the world that Maldives is gearing up to greet tourists back to the sunny side of life.
With over 200 parties and 30-holiday prizes keeping the viewers engaged, the campaign reached 1.2 million worldwide, a total of 85K people from different countries joined the 4-hour event. A poll which was run during the event, suggested that 49% of people are already planning a trip to Maldives as soon as the pandemic eases.
